We are a TEAM...

Paul Giessner

My name is Paul Giessner and I'm a junior at the University of Michigan pursuing bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and pipe organ performance.  I’m from Saint Joseph, MI (southwest corner of the state) and I enjoy reading, listening to all kinds of music, tinkering, watching movies, and being creative! I'm a Resident Advisor with the Living Arts community, an interdisciplinary group that brings engineering and the arts together.  My motivation for taking EECS 451 was so I could gain a better understanding of the tools and techniques behind analyzing sound, thereby learning more about the nature of sound and music.

Changqi Dai

My name is Changqi Dai and I am a senior at the University of Michigan studying Biomedical Engineering with a focus of Medical Imaging System. My initial motivation for taking EECS451 is that this course lays the theoretical foundation for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and image processing that are used extensively in medical imaging process. DSP can be applied to a wide range of fields and is useful and practical in a lot of modern electronic appliance.

John Connolly

I'm a junior studying computer engineering. I'm interested in embedded systems and wish to use digital signal processing concepts in the implementation of embedded devices. I am particularly interested in this musical signal processing project, because I am curious how human perceive those signals. In my personal life, I enjoy piña coladas, and being caught in the rain.
